Hi Terry! I just noticed your name here! I'm glad you decided to join in! Good luck in the training! I like your comment about running past Terry Bean's old house...great inspiration there! Did you know he is on the blog here?

Hey Terry, I've never met your wife. Is Nalisa your wife? If so, she needs to join the bolg too!

From Terry Bradley on Sat, Jan 29, 2011 at 23:47:15 from 71.4.75.183

Yip Nalisa is my better half. We have done a lot of 50 and 100 mile horse races together a long with the kids and we run a lot on foot during those races but this much running at one time is a new journey for us. I am trying to get her to sign up. I think my daughter Emilie is going to sign up. She ran cross county last fall and is running track this spring so we will see how things go.

Wow 6 miles with out my IT band flaring up!!!  Stopped at the Runners Corner in Orem and got some good running shoes for Nalisa and the kids.  They had a good time and were so excited about running that they ran with me.  Actually I had four of my kids go 3.5 miles except Ty rode his bike with us as his broken leg is not totally healed up.  Nalisa, Nathan and Emilie went the full six miles they are troopers.

Hey nice job on the training. You got any races coming up soon?

Running MilesSwimming YardsBike Miles
10.500.0010.75

We went to Heber City Utah and did the Super Dale fund raiser run.  Super Dale had a accident in durring westling last winter that left him parilized.  This was a fund raiser for him.  We (Myself, Nalisa, Emilie, & Nathan did the 10K.  My brother from Midway ran with 3 of his kids, Garrett (who place in the top 5 over all), Brady, and Gage.  That makes 9 Bradley's that finished the 10K run.  Emilie finished at 56min, Nathan was about 1 hour, and Me and Nalisa finished at 1:09.  I was feeling good when we got back to Manti and took Maverick on on a 10.75 mile run.  He is a blast to ride he loves to run and takes really good care of him self, and I ended up running another 4+ miles then.

Hi Terry, I thought I better check up on you and see how things are in Manti. Do you know you can make this a race report if you'd like? It's kind of nice to have the races marked so you can pull them up easier when you want to find them. Plus it puts them in the races category so others will notice them better. Just go in and edit it and mark it as a race report at the top if you'd like.

This is the Moab Canyons Endurance ride.  I really thought we were ready for this ride and all went for the 30 miles or so.  My goal was to run 20% so about 10 miles of this ride and as you can see we did a little bit more than that.  However Maverik came up a little lame on his right hind.  I have to theories as to why.  The first is that his left front check ligaments are giving him problems and he is compensating with his right hind.  The seconed is that I do not have him on the right electolite program either way this is getting to be a cronic problem as we were pulled from the Tevis Cup (Western State Trail) ride for the same reason.

This is the first time I have done this milage with out some kind of a break through out the day.  It was very interesting.  Mile 10 - 13 were a little harder than I though it would be.  All in all it was a good run.  I completed the run 1min/mile faster than my goal so that felt good.  I am not going to brag to much about a 10 min mile but come on I am 44 and have never run this kind of distance before so I felt really good about it.  I can tell that I need a lot more work before I run a marathon but the joy is in the journey.

This was a good run with Emilie.  She has a nice pace and pushed me a little bit but I would never let her know.

Running in a nice fresh snow, with snow in you face what a joy.

I talked Nalisa into going with me for the first 3.5 miles and she set a good pace not to fast 12min/miles.  I did the next 7 or so in 11min/mile and the last2 or so at 10min/mile.  This distance seems to bring out the old man in me and I probably need more time to build up some endurance.  However I was not real tired the next day so that is good.

Work takes me out of town today.  Ended up in Tremonton and found a good country road to run on.  This was a nice flat road and I thought I did good with a 9min mile pace.  Missing my family tonight

Ran to Sterling and back this is has a few more hills but I averaged 9:30min/mile and felt good about that.

I ran the streets of Vernal tonight as I am here on bussiness.  It is interesting to run in a different town as some streets are a little darker than others (gives me motivation to run a little faster).  It was very refreshing to run around the Temple and that part reminds me of home.

What a great run with Emilie.  She taught me about tempo runs and we had a great time.  Thanks

Nalisa went 4 miles with me and Emilie went 6 or so.  It is always nice to have great company to run with.

This was going to be a good week I could run during the day and the weather is supposed to be very nice.  I talked Nathan in to running with me and Emilie he is very fast so he challenged me to a race.  That was a mistake for me.  He won and I came up lame.  My right calve feels like it has a very bat charlie horse.  I had to walk the last mile home and it kills we will see how this heals this next week.

This was mostly a walk day.  The leg feels a lot better and I thought maybe I would see how it would take a few miles.  The good news is that this work out did not make the calve muscle any worse.
